Job description
Looking to find someone who wants to be part of an incredible experience.
Looking for a confident swimmer, an experienced swim instructor/swim coach or someone who is motivated and passionate about working with children.
You must be flexible, think on your feet and have a positive and energetic disposition.
The role requires you to be able to work both independently and at times alongside others in and out of the pool. It requires you to effectively manage yourself and your time. It requires someone who is highly competent and ready to take a lead role in working collaboratively with the Swim with Chloe team.
This role requires someone who can work professionally at all times and is dedicated to achieve and maintain high quality customer experience. Someone who prides themselves on building and maintaining genuine relationships.
It requires hard work and determination.
You will be required to work with children in smaller, medium and large groups and with children of various abilities from beginners to fine tuning the four key strokes.
You must be prepared to plan, implement and run the Swim with Chloe programme.
The programme is an inclusive model working with children and their families. It encourages fun and a love of water, safety, survival and aquatic skills. It incorporates English and Te Reo Maori.
Hours you will need to be available to work between the hours of 9am -6.30pm Monday to Friday. These hours are flexible
To be successful in this role you need to:
Have prior experience working with children
In depth swim/water knowledge and techniques to teach children of different stages of development to swim
Experience working with children of various ages
A relevant qualification or be suitable qualified, but relevant experience will also be considered
Excellent communication
Committed to being a member of a team

Due to the nature of this work successful applicants will be police vetted and must provide references.
You must also have NZ residency and a current driver’s licence.
Hold a current NZQA recognised first aid certificate or at least have prior knowledge of first aid with the intention of upskilling. Additional training can be given to successful applicant.
